Why exercise is good for your skin?

Undertaking regular exercise is essential to achieve healthy, glowing skin. It improves your complexion, and is one of the best remedies for wrinkles, dull skin, acne and dry skin. • Regular exercise boosts your blood circulation and improves the oxygenation of skin. Enhanced blood flow helps the skin to regenerate and toxins are efficiently removed from the body. Think of it as cleansing from the inside. • Taking exercise can help improve the texture and elasticity of your skin. It boosts the production of collagen, which helps your skin repair itself subsequently delaying the process of ageing and subsequent dreaded wrinkles. • It has been proven that exercise can help reduce the stress hormone cortisol. This hormone can exacerbate skin conditions such as eczema and acne. • When you work out, your skin receives a dose of oxygenated blood which gives you an instant glow as your skin is hydrated and can “breathe” properly. • You feel more relaxed when working out, so your complexion instantly appears less tense. When do you start your skin fitness regime?

Why exercise is good for your skin

As a good Omorovicza fan, you know the importance of skin fitness to the overall youthful behaviour of skin cells (if not read here). We know exercise is good for not only our waistline, but also our heart and general wellbeing. By increasing blood flow, exercise helps to nourish skin cells to keep them healthy and resilient. In addition to providing oxygen, blood flow also helps carry away debris out of the system, including free radicals. It is almost like a ‘skin cleanse inside out’. Exercise has also been shown to decrease stress. Conditions such as acne and eczema can be improved when stress is reduced. Although researchers are still investigating the link between stress and skin, it is known that stress hormones influence sebaceous glands. Our body produces 1% less collagen, a protein responsible for skin firmness, every year after the age of 20, so your skin becomes thinner as you age. Sweat and oil gland functions also drop as you get older, so less elastin fibres are produced and skin loses elasticity. However, exercising regularly results in visibly younger looking skin as it improves the metabolism of skin cells, making them function at its optimal level, in the same way that exercise boosts our body to burn calories. Exercising on a regular basis results in toned muscles. These muscles will also help your skin look healthier and better. Furthermore, the appearance of cellulite can be prevented with repeated exercise due to the overall improvement of the tone and release of tension in the muscles. Finally, it is important to understand that the overall health of our skin is a result of all the chemical processes, which take place in our body. So, isn’t it better to help our body function properly with doing some exercises and sweat a little bit? Always looks much bigger on word than here, right?

What is international mud day

Every year on June 29th people from around the world come together to celebrate International Mud day. The creators of this unique event are out to prove that mud is more than just what most people see it as, dirt. And this is something we can definitely get on-board with, especially when it comes to beauty. International Mud Day was first established in 2009 as a way to encourage community spirit and to teach people to appreciate the natural world around them. You might have already guessed that this day is actually celebrated by rolling around in mud. A whole host of activities are set up for the day (mud cake is even on the menu) and when it comes to getting involved, the dirtier you get, the better. Though we can’t condone rolling in mud as a way to achieve a beautiful complexion, our unique Moor Mud skincare collection was created using mineral rich Hungarian Moor Mud, extracted from the largest thermal in Europe, and is testament to the fact that mud should be celebrated and is a beautiful ingredient when it comes to your skincare routine. Though we’re only really referring to the Hungarian kind and not the mud from your garden... Our premium Moor Mud Collection comprises four products all designed to harness the unique skincare benefits of Moor Mud to continually transform your skin with every use. Using Moor Mud regularly will purify your complexion; leave your pores impurity free and combat signs of ageing for luminous skin that’s clear, hydrated and youthful. This is because Moor Mud has a rich mineral content of calcium and magnesium, minerals widely known for their ability to nourish and regenerate skin. For those of you who may be a little mud shy, our best-selling and award-winning Cleansing Thermal Balm is an easy and luxurious way to include mud in your skincare routine. If you’re feeling brave and want to get stuck straight in our Thermal Cleansing balm also comes in a super-size version. If that’s not enough mud for you, our premium skincare range also includes the Ultramoor Mud Mask, the Deep Cleansing Mask and a Refining Facial Polisher. Mindfulness & Skincare

Mindfulness has been one of the most popular words in the health and wellness spheres for a few years. It is the practice of self-awareness – awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and the world surrounding us. It can help you to cope with everyday life and it is proven to have great benefits for your physical and mental health. To celebrate Global Wellness Day, we prepared some tips on how to introduce mindfulness into your skincare routine, bringing a glow to your complexion and a sense of wellbeing to your days. Start your day with mindful moments: for many of us, an important part of our morning routine is applying makeup. It can help us feel more confident and ready for the day. However, having a morning skincare routine can become an opportunity to find a little ‘me time’ and boost your energy levels before the start of the day. Try our Cleansing Foam, Queen of Hungary Mist and Oxygen Booster for your mindful morning ritual. Streamline your regime: applying skincare products does not have to be a repetitive task. Our skin is not the same everyday and understanding its needs and creating a tailored skincare regime is fundamental. An easy trick to boost your routine is to have multitasking products such as the Oxygen Booster, Miracle Facial Oil and Omoressence at home. These products have the power of improving the results of your daily skincare products. Follow your nose: connecting with the five senses can be especially calming or energizing. Incorporating scents to your skincare regime, transforms it into a sensual ritual. Try our Queen of Hungary Mist, Miracle Facial Oil and Gold Shimmer Oil. Make night time your prime time: layer your favourite Omorovicza products at night, giving them plenty of time to absorb into the skin so that you benefit fully from the rich energy of their ingredients. Try our Gold Night Drops, Thermal Cleansing Balm and Rejuvenating Night Cream.

Best skin pampering tips

We love to take care of ourselves and our skin at Omorovicza. In the next of our Boudoir Moments series, we have pulled together some tips to ensure you make the time to pamper yourself. It’s not as hard as you think! Start your pampering routine by addressing your skincare concerns and relax at the same time by applying a face mask which is adapted to your skin. Try to create a ‘spa’ atmosphere whilst doing so by putting on some music and turning off your phone. Check all our masks here. Apply a scrub on your face and lips to remove dead and dulling skin cells to ensure you have a glowing, soft complexion. For better results, rinse with warm water by massaging your skin. Then, apply a nourishing lip balm with shea butter to get smooth lips. Use your favourite moisturiser followed by our Complexion Perfector BB Cream as you always need to wear SPF protection to ensure you don’t get sun damaged skin. Apply an eye cream to reduce puffiness and eliminate dark circles. Our Reviving Eye Cream, with a subtle smell of cucumber provides long lasting hydration. Perfect for tired eyes! Follow by using our Firming Neck Cream. Skin in the neck area is thinner than anywhere else, therefore a neck cream is the perfect way to take care of this area that ages first. Read our instructions on how to apply the neck cream in the most effective way: http://omo-blog-old.localhost.com/blog/firming-neck-cream-application-guidelines Massage your hands with our Nourishing Hand Treatment, rich in Vitamin C, it prevents the appearance of age spots. Finish your pampering session by spritzing our Queen of Hungary Mist on your face and neck to feel refreshed. Whether you’re staying in or going out, spritz yourself with our wonderful fragrance, Bagatelle de Gabrielle to recreate the atmosphere of our Budapest spa. When is your next pampering day?

The Importance of Looking after your Décolletage

We reveal why it’s important to look after your décolletage in the next post in our Boudoir Moments series. We are thrilled to have just launched a triple-action neck cream to nourish, hydrate, plump and tighten the skin. We know that moisturizing your face is a key step in any skincare routine, however many of us pay little to no attention to our neck and décolletage. One must look after this delicate area, as we do our face. Skin within the neck and décolleté is extremely thin and contains less sebaceous glands and melanocytes than elsewhere in the body. As a result, skin is dry, fragile and less supple. As we age, collagen and elastin naturally breaks down leaving the skin to sag and crease. Furthermore this delicate area is constantly exposed to the elements (UV rays, sun damage) and stress. These factors combined together explain why the neck and décolletage is one of the first to show the first signs of ageing. We recommend you cleanse this fragile area each day. This can be done at the same time you cleanse your face. Follow by applying a small amount of the Firming Neck Cream in the neck and décolleté area in upwards movements. We also recommend exfoliating at least once a week in order to remove dead skin.
