Undertaking regular exercise is essential to achieve healthy, glowing skin. It improves your complexion, and is one of the best remedies for wrinkles, dull skin, acne and dry skin. • Regular exercise boosts your blood circulation and improves the oxygenation of skin. Enhanced blood flow helps the skin to regenerate and toxins are efficiently removed from the body. Think of it as cleansing from the inside. • Taking exercise can help improve the texture and elasticity of your skin. It boosts the production of collagen, which helps your skin repair itself subsequently delaying the process of ageing and subsequent dreaded wrinkles. • It has been proven that exercise can help reduce the stress hormone cortisol. However, exercising regularly results in visibly younger looking skin as it improves the metabolism of skin cells, making them function at its optimal level, in the same way that exercise boosts our body to burn calories. Exercising on a regular basis results in toned muscles. These muscles will also help your skin look healthier and better. Furthermore, the appearance of cellulite can be prevented with repeated exercise due to the overall improvement of the tone and release of tension in the muscles. Finally, it is important to understand that the overall health of our skin is a result of all the chemical processes, which take place in our body. So, isn’t it better to help our body function properly with doing some exercises and sweat a little bit? Always looks much bigger on word than here, right?

Global Wellness Day is taking place on the 11th of June. In Hungary, several thermal baths will give complimentary treatments throughout the day, around the country. Skincare and wellness conferences will be held in Florida and Texas. High profile doctors and dermatologists will be on hand to give tips on anti-ageing products, about how to prepare your own natural skincare products etc… In Cyprus, the President Nicos Anastasiades has organised a massive celebration in Limassol in the afternoon with concerts, food or sport classes (yoga, pilates, massages) In Amsterdam, the National Opera and Ballet have joined forces to celebrate a “Dance for Health” and to bring some of the most inspirational health and beauty speakers together to talk about what wellness means for them. In Spain, many different activities will be taking place. We reveal why it’s important to look after your décolletage in the next post in our Boudoir Moments series. We know that moisturizing your face is a key step in any skincare routine, however many of us pay little to no attention to our neck and décolletage. One must look after this delicate area, as we do our face. Skin within the neck and décolleté is extremely thin and contains less sebaceous glands and melanocytes than elsewhere in the body. As a result, skin is dry, fragile and less supple. As we age, collagen and elastin naturally breaks down leaving the skin to sag and crease. Furthermore this delicate area is constantly exposed to the elements (UV rays, sun damage) and stress. These factors combined together explain why the neck and décolletage is one of the first to show the first signs of ageing. We recommend you cleanse this fragile area each day.
