Omorovicza Summer Edit

July 15th, 2016

Arly, the founder of the beauty blog Detail Oriented shares her summer essentials in the next of our #summerskinedit series.

This summer has been all about travelling the world for work and play, but I’m a California girl at heart, which means I like to keep things effortless and fun no matter where I am:

• These Saint Laurent sneakers remind me of LA every time I wear them and they have become one of my most favourite possessions. They’re casual but still cool and I especially loved this collection because it was an homage to California.
• I like to keep my makeup light and ‘barely there’ in the summer and this Hourglass Illume palette is the best way to do that. The colors are beautiful, easy to apply and look so natural on the skin.
• The only way to keep makeup looking flawless is with proper application and these stunning Artis brushes are my newest addiction. They provide an effortless airbrushed finished that is natural looking yet still perfected - they’re magic!
• Of course, no summer would be complete without the gorgeous Queen of Hungary Mist and this has been a long time staple for me. I use it morning and night to purify, hydrate and firm the skin and I have it in every size because it’s that good.
• The Miracle Facial Oil is like sunshine in a bottle and using it at night after being in the sun all day is crucial to nourish, replenish, repair and hydrate the skin.
• My face can get pretty oily in the summer and the Refining Facial Polisher (which doubles as a mask) is the perfect antidote to that. It removes dead skin and regulates sebum leaving me with glowing, silky soft skin.
• It’s hard to find a great sunscreen and the Mineral UV Shield is one of the best I’ve ever tried. It’s lightweight, absorbs easily and doesn’t leave the skin looking or feeling greasy or create that dreaded ‘white cast’.
• I don’t like carrying big bags when I’m exploring new cities, so this Gucci Soho bag is perfect because it’s small but can fit a lot in it, plus the navy color is chic and more summery than black.
• I like to be selective in what I carry in my small bag and I try to make sure each item is multi-purpose. The Byredo Hand Cream smells incredible so it doubles as my scent and the Ilia Moondance Powder not only keeps my face shine free but has SPF 20 in it. The Ilia Lip Conditioner in Kokomo is a beautiful pinky nude that goes with everything and also contains sun protection, which is so important for the lips.
• Lastly, what’s more Californian than a pair of classic black Wayfarers?

Yaaaaay love her! So happy to see one of my faves on here! As a native Southern Californian, I can approve of all of these :) those Wayfer's are really so cool and that Hourglass product is soo luxe! I loooove the Queen of Hungary mist, definitely a favorite of mine too, and felt the need to get it after seeing all of Arly's beautiful pics on her instagram feed. I have really oily skin that is on the sensitive side at the moment, and the Cleansing Foam is also another product that has been great to use. I know for sure I am getting that Facial Polish! After seeing this beautiful picture I'm also tempted to book a trip to some tropical place haha if you're not following her instagram or blog, definitely do! :)
