Wedding Day Facials

Omorovicza Wedding Facials

The preparation for the Big Day, one of the most important days in a woman’s life, starts at least 2 years before. Booking the church, the reception, who will be your bridesmaid or even which guests will attend or not attend (you know you can’t include your embarrassing Aunty), has to be decided very early on.

Then there is THE DRESS possibly the most important moment will be trying, fitting and then ordering THE DRESS. It will make you feel like a princess on that special day when you walk up the aisle to Mendelssohn’s Wedding March to meet your frog...oops I mean prince.
Everything will have been prepared and organised within an inch of perfection, from the hen night, weekend, spa-away-with-friends, family, friends and mother-in-law-to-be to the flowers. The de rigueur something borrowed, something new, old and blue, nail colour, make-up, groom and ushers outfits, bridesmaids’ dyed-to-match shoes and to the gifts to be given out at the reception.

One of the most important things you want to make sure is perfect on the day is your skin. If it’s glowing it will give you confidence. My top 5 tips for perfect complexion on the day are:

1. Don’t wait until the last minute, start thinking about your skin at least 3 to 6 months before the big day. Skin cell renewal can take anything from 28 days to 50 days so you need to be thinking early.
2. Find yourself a good facialist, one that you feel comfortable with and whose hands you trust. One that makes your skin glow and feel lifted after each facial. Then you know she is ‘making a difference’.
3. Include one weekend visit to a spa to distress and relax. Nothing gives the skin a perfect glow than being stress free and chilled.
4. Eat and drink healthily for at least 6 months before the big day, as what we eat is reflected in our skin. Too much starch and sugary foods will cause blemishes and the skin can appear dull and lacklustre if we follow a diet without essential nutrients.
5. Pick a good make-up artist that you feel comfortable with. Just because one maybe famous or recommended by a friend does not mean they will be a good fit for you. Experiment with make-up yourself so you know what suits you and then find a make-up expert who will compliment your features rather than try to cover them.

Now you are camera ready, smile, face the lights and dazzle! Your photographs will delight you and family for many years.
