Social Media Manager

Omorovicza Cosmetics is a premium skincare Brand with a global presence. Currently looking to recruit a Social Media Manager.

Based: London, UK

Reporting to: Marketing Director


The Omorovicza journey begins over 2,000 years ago, when the healing properties of Hungary’s thermal waters were discovered, and the first thermal baths were built.

The secret to why Hungarian thermal waters have such remarkable healing properties lies in the unique geological features of the region. Here the earth’s crust is thinner, so waters absorb beneficial minerals more effectively as they journey to the surface.

Miraculous healings led to the building of 1,000 thermal baths in Hungary, 100 in Budapest alone.

It was in Budapest, in the 1800’s, that the Omorovicza family built a beautiful thermal bath the Rácz Fürdo, on the site of an Ottoman bath, itself built in the 1560s on a medieval healing spring renowned for its curative properties.

And it was at the Racz that Stephen and Margaret de Heinrich de Omorovicza first observed the revitalising effect of the healing waters on their skin.


As Social Media Manager, you will be working closely with the Marketing, Digital, PR and Design teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with our wider business communications plans. You will champion social media as a key communications and direct response platform and be the social and community gatekeeper, while significantly growing social media following and engagement.

  • Develop social media strategy with engagement, traffic & revenue as key objectives for our global social media channels including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and Google+.
  • Manage all social media planning, communications and reporting.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient publishing process of social content, allowing adequate approval lead times.
  • Lead social strategy for brand campaigns, ensuring complete cohesion with PR and Digital team.
  • Develop and launch leading campaigns to build social media community across all relevant platforms globally.
  • Exceed KPI targets across all social media channels.
  • Work with the Marketing Director to determine the paid social strategy for the business, in order to grow bottom line profit through a combination of brand awareness, consideration and direct response tactics.
  • Day-to-day management of the paid social agency.
  • Working with the Marketing, Digital and Design teams to ensure content calendars across all social activities are in line with the brand vision and commercial goals.
  • Drive innovation and explore all new social media opportunities.
  • Remain ahead of social media trends, attend all relevant conferences and feed back to the digital team.
  • Act as the lead within the team for all brand communications across social channels, working closely with the relevant teams to ensure consolidated messaging.
  • Collaborate with PR to devise and execute monthly influencer marketing activations.
  • Budget management and planning of social media channels.
  • Work closely with the Digital Designer to prepare images for use across our social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Design and Digital team to plan bi-monthly content photoshoots.
  • Any ad hoc duties as requested by the Marketing Director.


  • You will be a social media guru, with proven experience of leading and delivering commercial social media campaigns on a global scale, ideally within a consumer, beauty, fashion retail or ecommerce brand.
  • Proficient in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube platforms, you will demonstrate the ability to communicate with an engaging tone.
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape and a passionate user of digital technologies, who is curious about the evolution of this space, with strong knowledge of social media, content strategy and influencer marketing tactics, as well as beauty influencers.
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to initiate and lead without requiring day to day guidance.
  • Energetic, collaborative and flexible spirit.
  • Experience within a Global brand is preferable.
  • A keen eye for being best in class, with flawless execution and a demonstrable ability to execute projects on time and to work collaboratively in a team environment with excellent attention to detail and quality.
  • Intuitive grasp of brand and customer.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong aesthetic sense and the ability to collaborate closely with the Marketing Director and company co-founders to represent the Omorovicza tone-of-voice across all social channels.
  • Entrepreneurial flair combined with a structured approach and analytical skills to draw conclusions from data and sales reports.
  • Strong organization skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple projects.
  • Welcomes constructive criticism with an open mind, always seeking to improve work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • High degree of integrity.
  • An enthusiastic outlook, charismatic and with a good sense of humour.
  • Copywriting and content creation experience would be great but not essential.
